Fort Wayne Fire Station 13

We recently relocated to Fort Wayne from Huntersville, NC. So far most everyone we have met or encountered has been extremely welcoming and friendly. The one group you encounter that should always be friendly and inviting wasn't. As we had on our turn signal to get over from behind a stopped bus in town. Suddenly a fire department vehicle swerved quickly out from behind us exciding the speed limit. One would assume he could have been going to a call but with my husband being retired law enforcement and myself previously working EMS if that where the case then lights and/or siren should have been used and neither where. The darting out from behind us and speeding didn't even get him in farther ahead in traffic as we ended up beside him at the next light. Now if the gentleman driving the fire department vehicle had been in his personal car then this review wouldn't be being written. Because you expect the general public to drive that way. However persons in public safety are held to a high standard and professionalism is always expected. Especially when driving a marked departmental vehicle. This particular vehicle happen to be marked with unit #25067 and was Batallion Chief 13 on the side. This happened on 7/14/2019 around 4:35pm. Just an fyi.... always remember when in uniform or a marked vehicle you are always noticed more than the general population.

Great
