Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The place is very inviting and the personnel are friendly and sweet. The garden is beautiful and the films are great for families. Worth checking out if you're free, have nothing else planed and just want to enjoy a good film.
The Bijou Art Theatre is an institution in Eugene. They have great movies, popcorn with Brewers Yeast and drinks of all kinds. They were one of the first to offer wine. While they may not have modernized every theater part of that is just to keep the tradition. They make up for it with great attitude, personality and good films.
They have, hands down, the best popcorn of any Eugene movie theater. And they even have nutritional yeast for it. This is a cozy theater built in an old church. Very “Eugene” in a good way.
Nothing like seeing an indie film in an old church
My parents were married here in church. 1948. Glad to see it is still thriving.
