I worked at Select for over four years. It is definitely the people that make your job rewarding. I felt my coworkers became like family and loved getting a chance to make our patients and their families feel like they could express their concerns and their journey with me. Anywhere you work, it will have its faults, but the beautiful thing about working with people, is it is always meaningful and fulfilling work. I’m thankful for my time and experiences at Select.

Our experience with Select (Evansville, Indiana facility) was wonderful - during a horrible situation. My dad was transferred to Select from a regional, county hospital suffering from Covid and on a ventilator. While a lot of adjectives are appropriate, Communication, Caring and Peace of Mind are my top 3. Our family received multiple, daily updates on dad - not just on weekdays - and they insisted that we call at any time we wanted. Every single staff member we came in contact with was caring... genuinely caring. Even though we weren't able to visit dad until he was cleared from the time period he was positive with Covid, we felt a peace of mind knowing what was going on, knowing what steps the facility was taking and knowing that he was cared for. We were able to tell the nursing staff some personal details about dad's life in order for them to talk to him and make him feel comfortable. Select was successful in getting dad off the ventilator. Dad didn't eat much while he was there, but the food was really top notch for being 'hospital food'. Select staff helped us get through probably the worst time ever. And they did it with professionalism and caring. ud83dude4c

Terrible! If our dad had stayed here, he would have passed away even sooner than he did! So many things done wrong at this hospital. Some of the nurses were fine, but the care of the patients leaves alot to be desired. Dirty hospital, crowded, call lights ignored, too many things to even list. When your dad has to be rushed out of here because his potassium and hemoglobin bottom out, yet they give him an Ativan to calm him down, and he is unresponsive! If my mother had not went to visit that day and asked for assistance, our dad would have died! Thank goodness Dr. Ahmed had him rushed to St. Vincent's!! Will never have anyone in my family be sent there by a doctor. Don't know why you are even still open for business!!
