Nora Veterinary Hospital

I've been struggling whether or not to post a review for months now. I've decided to post because I don't want someone else to be in the situation we are in now with their pet. We trusted Dr. Flory and the rest of the Nora Vet Hospital. Unfortunately, we and our dog's issues didn't seem to be taken seriously. A simple fecal test (never once offered to us) would have helped identify and take care of what was wrong with our dog.nnWe adopted a dog in February (our first time owning a dog of our own), we immediately took Ben to the Vet to make sure that everything was okay- which it was at that point. About a month in, he began to vomit about 1-2 times per week. We immediately called and got another appointment with Dr. Flory to see what was going on. He suggested that it may be a diet issue, so we bought a much more expensive food and began feeding that to Ben. About a week went by and the situation worsened, he was now vomiting 3-4 times a week and was now having diarrhea regularly. We again, called the vet and they suggested that we adjust the times the we were feeding him and to bring him in once again. We bought, yet another food, more expensive than the one before and adjusted the times that we were feeding per the recommendation. The problem again got worse, he was now vomiting daily, had runny stool and was no longer eating. So we once again took him to Nora to see Dr. Flory. He told us their was no need to run any test at this point and to continue on keeping the food consistent. You can guess... Things got worse from there, there was now blood in his vomit and stool, so we rushed him to the Emergency Vet where they ran numerous test and asked for a fecal sample. They found that Ben had a really bad infestation of hook worms, tape worms and heart worms. After paying THOUSANDS of dollars, we got a medication to help kill the worms. We now have another vet and Ben is doing much better, but are extremely disappointed with the care that we received at Nora Vet Hospital.

I cannot say enough about these people.Dr.Flori & Ashley were beyond wonderful.So compassionate & caring.As I had to put my sweet Lola down.For all practical purposes I /we were a new, patient.They made room & time for her on a day that they were booked solid ! And again were so kind & compassionate.I am so grateful & will be taking the rest of my kids there. Well the virus thing is STILL messing things up, so the hospital is closed to walking-in's. Communation is handled with your phone. Your baby is collected by technician and delivered to the doctor.nThe doctor calls and informs you as to what he has found and suggested treatment.nWhen they are done with your baby, the techniques deliver your baby to the car along with the bill.nThat's it, it went off really well and I'm happy with the service.nThere for, I give them 5 stars

They trimmed both my dogs nails and the hair on the pads for me since they are both difficult to do this with and the day after I called! Love it.

1st time there, but was very impressed with the care. Going back this week so will know a little more.
