Was told one thing and ended up messed up with utility assistance and take long to respond to calls and emails. NEVER SAID SORRY FOR THE BIG MISTAKE...
They took care of my brother's cremation in a time of need. Have all your paperwork necessary, and they will do what they can with the funds available to them. God Bless
This office is filled with people who care about others and have contributed greatly to their community. They try to help who they can and qualifies whilst upholding the tenets of the codes and rules set forth in determining who is eligible and who is not. This is sometimes difficult to understand and so the office is misunderstood. I encourage people to read the township guidelines they are pretty straightforward.... usually.
You have to be dirt poor for them to help you. they sit there and judge you for asking for help after you have to bring them you entire life's history and then they don't communicate and make you wait and guess if they are going to help you or not. they pick and choose who they will help. a total disappointment to the community of Lawrence.
Previous years I was able to get assistance with my childrens uniforms but last year I was denied and this I tried again and was told it's only for IPS students. My children attend Tirning Point. Lawrence trustees needs to rethink how they help the community. So sad.
