Walking into the Westside Classics shop is literally like stepping back in time and right into a hot rod shop from the '50s or '60s. Full of projects under various levels of progress (a full frame off '51 Merc street rod build, '46 Ford street rod, restoration of a '68 Ford Ranger, vintage resto mod firetruck converted into a flatbed car hauler, a frame off '60s El Camino, and more). Westside Classics does everything from full restorations to upgrades, repairs, as well as full metal, body and paint work. The owner, Bill Presley (yes, related to Elvis), sells built motors, intake manifolds, carbs, headers and exhaust, and always has something cool for sale, including good new and used tires, and stock and aftermarket wheels at extremely reasonable prices. Bill is also a licensed (state of Oregon) professional appraiser. Shop is open to the public, located on Franklin Blvd in the Glenwood district next to the new roundabouts (next door to Ramsey-Waite). Treat yourself to one of the coolest, active, old-school hot rod shops in Lane County (and be prepared to take photos of your visit). Westside Classics is a vital connection for vintage car owners, hot rodders and enthusiasts.
