This is a great little bistro! Nice people, good food. I wish they had set up their outdoor seating, maybe they do at lunchtime.
The food is not bad in a pinch, and the staff is always friendly. But I am concerned that I never see kitchen staff wearing gloves, and as I have watched sandwiches being prepared, I notice what could be considered cross-contamination. Examples: a staff member handling food with bare hands, then touching handles of grills, then going back to touching food; resting hands on the counter that has been wiped with a dirty-looking rag, then going to prep food with bare hands without washing. Things like that. I really love the convenience of this place, the menu variety, and nice staff, but I have a hard time watching some of the practices going on behind the counter. I have also noticed things such as half-used avocado sitting out on the back counter, where it isn't in any sort of container or its own section in the prep area, and it being picked up to be used in a sandwich. It made me wonder how long it had been sitting out in the open where workers are frequently walking by. I really hate to criticize this bistro, but I do hope management will take some things into consideration.
Nice little coffee shop nestled in a medical complex. Friendly atmosphere, and delicious coffee.
Get the Gobblehog, you won't regret it - sooo good
