We visited on a rainy Thursday, but we still had a great time with very light crowds! The dolphin show was excellent! It was amazing that it was included with our admission and it was at no extra charge! Most of the animals here have large habitats, some not so much. They have many unique animals here, such as the dolphins as mentioned and walruses! The aquarium section was amazing as well.
Our favorite zoo by far! Not sure what's more breath taking- Seeing macaws flying or touching the beautiful elephants. My 5 year old loved the rides and feeding the flamingos. Highly recommend getting the total access pass- definitely worth it if you love feeding animals and the kids can go on the rides!
Very nice zoo. The only complaint we had was there was no information and nobody told us you have to get tickets for dolphin show. We almost missed the coolest park of this zoo. Lucky they weren't filled so we were let in at last second. Definitely don't miss the dolphin show.
So sad to see some of the animals’ bare minimum habitats :( there were like 20 huge parrots in a tiny cage with barely enough space for them all to stand - please give them more room! I also felt the orangutans’ pen was awful - no trees or nature and just a few clumps of hay on concrete and some metal poles. Honestly, I didn’t see one exhibit where I felt like they had a great set up and were happy. I really hope the zoo stops trying to bring in new animals and instead puts that money toward improving the habitats of the many wonderful animals they already have!! Until then, going to this zoo just supports profit over animal welfare and is very sad to see.
They have wonderful staff and great exhibits. Everything was very interesting. I'd say it's one of the best zoos in the area. The dog show was exciting. The botanical gardens and butterfly kaleidoscope were wire awesome. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
