It was an awkward and unpleasant visit. As a customer, one expects to be met with the friendliness and freedom to browse comfortably, however this was not the case with Sticks & Stones Gallery. Despite the decent inventory, the customer service was lacking in professionalism. I was treated differently than the caucasian customers in the store. This is something that needs to be addressed.nnPOC, expect 1-star rating customer service.
Not a safe or fun place if you're a POC (person of color), I was being watched with every move I made which was quite uncomfortable. I understand it's the employees jobs to watch customers, but it was being done to the point where I was left feeling belittled, the employee weren't watching the other white customers as closely as they were my POC group.. It was 2 white old ladies on shift, one with short white hair, the other white glasses.. The one with glasses kept telling me things in a demeaning tone of voice and didn't even ask if I needed help when looking around.. Highly disappointing, don't support this local shop!
