Nothing but an absolute horrible experience in dealing with this facility. From the doctor, to the front desk staff, to the billing dept. I would recommend going anywhere else. Long story short they lost my contact information and sent my bills directly to a collection agency. I paid the bills immediately and my FICO dropped 101 points! 1st negative mark on my credit in over 2 decades thanks to this place's carelessness with patient information! Their billing dept. refused to take any ownership of the situation, no call backs as promised, and wouldn't work on resolving any of the remaining bills after their error. Very, very poorly run facility.

After a nightmare experience last year with the Shelbyville MHP ER (big surprise), my husband and I tried this St. Vincent South ER in February of this year and were completely amazed at how calm, thorough, attentive and kind they were. It was like a dream compared to ER stories I've heard and seen in my life! I had to go there myself this week, and wondered how the COVID changes had impacted them. Answer: they were still calm, kind, compassionate and thorough. Taking time to listen, discuss and answer all questions. I will never go anywhere else!! (Although hopefully won't have to, gosh - 3 visits for our family in 2 years is definitely a first after never having gone before!!)

Staff was pleasant and professional. The care that my son received was good from the doctornnThe only issues that I had for this visit is that this ER Doctor would not write a doctor's note for a 1 day school absence for a mulitiple dog bite concern with puncture wounds and blood on my son and his clothes. I am very disappointed in this, because i feel my 8 year old needed a day to recover from being in such a terrified mental state and the physical wounds from the dog bites.nnThe only other issue is that they would only write a perscription and not call one in to the pharmacy, This is the 21st century, and I don't understand why someone could not have called in the perscription on the phone for us.nnThis isn't an end all/be all as the care we received as acceptable and professional. However; these kinds of things are that can be improved upon.

The hospital staff at SVNH was great but dealing with their billing department has been a nightmare. My insurance company paid my bill in full but SVNH has lost the check that they cashed and deposited on May 26th 2020. The billing department never answers the phone and then they ask you to leave a message which no one returns. When I finally did speak to a human they informed me they don’t have access to the fax number on my billing statement, well why didn’t they tell me that in June? I feel like a hamster on a hamster wheel making several dozen phone calls and no one has fixed their mistake. I will never use SVNH ever again.nNow I understand why the parking lot always looks empty when I drive by. If I treated my customers like this I’d be out of business

I came in a few months ago during an autoimmune flareup, I know what medications work for me and what doesn’t yet the male doctor (unsure of his name but he was bald and Caucasian) accused me of being a drug addict because I was in pain and put me on a “list”. I have been to the hospital many times for my chronic illness and never have I been treated this poorly to the point of tears. He sent me home with no relief, and I vomited uncontrollably for four more days in in unimaginable pain. Now we have been sent to collections by community when I’m already in debt due to my illness and now they’re suing me. I wouldn’t take my pets here let alone anyone I love
