Unfortunately, if you are here, you do not have an option. All I hope is that when you go into court, you do not have to speak with the tall, blonde, late 20's prosecutor. Not only is she completely rude, but she is disrespectful and and doesn't know the law. As a first time guest in Greenwood City Court, I had some questions to ask, as anyone having their first driving ticket requiring a court hearing. The first option she presented was obviously the most expensive; when I rejected her offer, then magically that fine was reduced to half. However, I was told that the case would be dropped entirely. When I asked her about this, she got really aggravated then started talking to me like I was a child. I am in my late twenties and a school teacher. When I left her (this whole interaction was about 90 seconds, in the back of the courtroom, in very hushed voices) I went before the judge. When I asked him a question, he upset and asked why I didn't present her with questions. I said I did and she did not answer them adequately. By then she was glaring at me. Moral of story- the judicial system is screwed up and thenpeople in power try to strong arm the weak.
