Under the solid leadership of Duane Burgess, the JCSO is a solid and a capable team of exceptional deputies, detectives and all other staff. Dignity starts at the top, and residents in our humble county are blessed to have such a man leading the most important elected post we have. Full disclosure: we both graduated from CGHS in 1988 but we didn't really know each other. But when re-election time comes he can count on my active support. Thank you Duane.

I was speeding and got pulled over on US31 unfortunately I got locked up but let me say the officers were the most pleasant I have ever encountered nothing short of amazing!!! Process to get booked and entered into the system was quick and hassle free I was in and out in under 3hrs!! The entire staff was awesome especially Officer Bragg and the other staff on board last night!! Even bigger thanks to Officer Carry who was more than great to me and my children!!

The sheriff deputy that pulled me over was polite, professional and level headed. I messed up but he pulled me over and let me know to correct the action and not let it happen again.

On Monday night, while driving home from work my car broke down. An officer by the name of Chuck, stopped to see if everything was ok. After I told him just car trouble, he then gets out of his car and does absolutely EVERYTHING, And I mean everything he could possibly be do to figure out the problem.. Hoping my car was only out of gas, he drives me to a gas station to get gas, when that wasn't the issue, he still tries to figure out the problem. I had called for a tow truck before he had pulled up, was told it would cost me $204.00! He then calls and gets a truck for $100.00 cheaper! He sat there with me, until the tow truck came! This all happened late Monday night on US31.nHe could have just drove on by, he could have just left after I told him I was getting a tow truck. He went above and beyond this night! I just hope he knows how much I deeply appreciate every bit of his effort that evening!! Thank you
