I was so taken aback by LEAH, in Dr Williamson's office. She sets the schedules. This office deals with cancer patients so you would think the employees would be more caring and understanding. Not her. She called my mom, the patient, and told her of a MORNING appointment for two different types of treatment when my mom was only recommended to do one, due to other health issues. My mom was so upset after she hung up the phone, she was crying. So I called her back just to clarify the recommended treatment and appointment time (which was previously told to us that it would be evening). As i was explaining to her, she very rudely interrupted me and attempted tell me what needed to happen bc my mom should have told her over the phone that she did not want a specific treatment. I told her Mom was referred there for only one type of treatment and during the initial appointment that was conveyed again, so why would Mom feel the need to relay her recommendations and desire again. All she needed to do was read the referral. She continued in a rude tone and finally I raised my voice enough to be over hers and asked her to let me finish. She cut me off again. Then she threatened to hang up on me. I was not yelling or screaming. The only time I raised my voice was when she was being so rude and talking down about my mom's responses. I asked her to let me speak to someone else after I told her she has been the worst person that we have come in contact with since the diagnosis and I hope she realizes how stressful cancer is. No patient should be talked to like that! She should have NEVER belittled my mom. That was completely unacceptable. I will NEVER recommend this office for anything if she is there!!!!!!!
