I went to see Doctor Gray for the Suboxone treatment. It was pretty expensive, $375 for the first appointment and then $100 after that. I was a little bit nervous at first because I have had bad experiences when getting treated for an opiate addiction. To my pleasant surprise, Dr. Gray was really understanding. Within thirty minutes I felt as though we had been friends for years and years. The staff seemed a little rude at first but I guess they warmed up to me pretty quick. I felt very comfortable there and I am very happy with the care I received. Dr. Gray made it very clear that he will let me take as long as I need with the Suboxone so we can make absolutely sure I won't relapse again. The other maintenance doctors I've been too always wanted to rush you through it. Each time I ended up going back to the pills. Suboxone is a miracle drug, seriously, it will help you get clean more than you could possibly know. However, if you've heard people say you can abuse Suboxone like other painkillers, whoever told you that is a complete retard. The first time you take it, I'm not going to lie, you will be flying high all day long. The next day, a little less, then a little less, until eventually it's gone for good. But by that time the Naloxone has worked it's magic and you don't have cravings anymore. If some idiot tells you, you can feel the same effect day in and day out, has lulled themselves into believe a false reality. It's complete and total BS. Sure, you could take fifteen strips every day but you won't feel a darn thing. This is a good route to be clean, unlike methadone, you would have to be a total dummy to get hooked on Suboxone.
