They are great people and were one of the biggest inspirations to me for music, the workers there are great and they feel like family. (Sorry for the run-on sentence grammar isn't my strong suite.)
This long established company has a wide variety of items, especially in the eyes of this non-musical customer. When I've been in Melody Mart it has been because I was sent for a particular item. All I have to do is walk in and explain that I don't know what it is I need. The sales dude is almost clairvoyant when it comes to selling me the exact thing that's needed! I highly recommend you go in and shop.
It's a mom and pops music store.... but the only one a long way from no where. So if you need strings, picks or a new guitar it does the trick
Great place to buy a guitar. I wanted to check out a Breedlove and the guy acted like I was going to damage it, I could buy the most expensive one they had without hurting my pocket so it felt a little strange, but the owner and Willy are great to deal with.
