Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar

I had one of the best cheeseburgers of my life sitting at this very nice bar. The wedge salad was very tasty as well with high-quality bacon pieces and a yummy dressing that I could tell was made from scratch.nnExcellent selection of custom drinks plus a fabulous bourbon selection of hard to find stuff. I like the not-so-bright lighting & the huge TV screens throughout the bar. Bartender offered fast and friendly service as well as good conversation.... always a plus!

We picked The Galt House at random because it was near Louisville Slugger and the Muhammad Ali Museum, and were initially disappointed when Walker's Exchange was closed for lunch. We waited about 15 minutes for Jersey Silks to open, and were worried about the limited lunch menu. But from the second we walked in the door, Angie made us feel like VIPs, she recommended food and drinks, helped us choose our bourbon flights, talked to us like we were old friends, and just made this an amazingly positive experience for us.nnWe had the Down the Rabbit Hole flight (Angie's recommendation, and what ended up being our favorite) and the Make Me a Maker's flight. Both were amazing, well portioned, and amazing selections for a full tasting of these distilleries. (Because of COVID, many of these tastings inside the distilleries were closed, and Angie helped make up for that by helping us with these flights). We're from Missouri, and Angie was genuinely interested in us, our trip, where else we had been, and in what she could do to help make it a great day for us.nnAll the food was amazing - but the truffle fries were truly the standout, they are a must-order.nnI HIGHLY recommend this establishment, especially if Angie is working, and especially if you are unable to visit the distillers themselves, Angie can help make that feeling come to life.

It is not too many places I have been that surprise me with quality service. This place definitely met that mark. With covid 19 among us Jockey Silks is able to adjust and still impress. Our food tasted amazing and was creative. The Hand pies were comparable to a fancy hot pocket lol the sauce that was drizzled over was to die for and the wings had the perfect amount of sauce and texture not too crispy not too soggy for wing lovers. And best of all our server Angie served my wife and I with great Kentucky pride it was awesome, she was very attentive and my old fashioned was probably the best I've had from a bartender in a long time. I recommend this place to anyone staying in the downtown Louisville area. Ask for Angie she's great ud83dude09

Very cool bar, inside the Galt Hotel. Arrived very late, a few minutes before closing but Angie and Rachael took care of us, offered us cake that paired perfect with our wine! Great bourbon list. Will definitely be back next time we are in Louisville.

We came into Jockey Silks to watch the Oaks. We’re from Jersey and really didn’t know where to go due to Covid (a lot of things were closed). Angie was beyond helpful with recommendations and incredibly polite. Great hospitality and amazing drinks as well. Thanks again to Angie, we hope to see her again next year!
