Columbus Primary & Specialty Care: Poplin, Doug, MD

I've known Dr Poplin for a long time. When he started family practice, I decided to switch to Dr. Poplin as my primary care giver. He takes his time in reviewing my medical needs and back ground. Since switching, I feel much more confidant under his care. He is very caring of his patients.

I’m 63 and I’ve lived several places over the course of my life. I’ve also got Stage IV prostate cancer so I’ve had experience with many different doctors representing a multitude of specialties in my life. Dr. Poplin is without a doubt my favorite. My biggest complaint about the medical profession is that so many doctors lack critical thinking skills and rely on decision trees for diagnosis. That may not be true, but it seems that way. Dr. Poplin takes the time to ask questions and to develop his understanding of the patient. Peeling away the layers of the onion as it were. I have several complex problems and Dr. Poplin has made sure he understands how I’m affected by each of those problems. He’s generous with his time and makes you feel as if nothing else but your health concerns are the only thing that matters. I’m happy to have made the change and that he’s now my primary care doctor. I would give Dr. Poplin my highest recommendation.

Fabulous Dr and Team! Takes the time to get to know you. Actually listens and remembers what you talk about. He checks your file before he comes in to see you. He is up-to-date on current medical information and will research more info if needed or refer to a specialist. Dr. Poplins bed-side manors are warms & friendly yet very professional.

Dr. Poplin is great!nnOnly thing I would change would be the lady at checkout...she's awful. In this day and age with being able to schedule follow-up apppintments on the app she serves no purpose. She needs a nice severence package...so she can go back under her bridge and live out her days spouting riddles and eating travelers.
