Was a loyal customer for 17 years. Maybe 3 claims over the course of those years. Every year my rates went up, but I was always told it was the government imposing fees. I didn't question, I continued to be a loyal customer. But I kept hearing how everyone I know pays way less with multiple cars. Finally, I got fed up and shopped new insurance. Got a quote for $100 less per month with a reputable competitor and of course I switched. When I cancelled, they didn't so much as bat an eye. Thanked me for my years of with them and hung up. Needless to say this was disappointing. No attempt at a better rate or anything to keep a loyal customer. Overcharged me for years. Lesson learned.

this is whorst insurance company ever see dont waisting your time to call they dont give you final quote online you have to call and when you call they give alot excuse to insurance your car

Typical cold company. If you want to overpaid for a house or car insurance policy this is the company that will do it.

Other Insurers offer better coverage, price and customer service.nRun away from AMICA as fast as you can. Amica Insurance offers inferior coverage, higher price and declined claim. Check with insurers, you will find a better rate with much better coverage and better customer service. There is no leadership at the top.nnHere is my story: I have been with AMICA for several years, I switched to AMICA after a friend recommended it. Then, I added house, life insurance etc. I knew the rates offered by AMICA was not too competitive, but I was too busy to make an effort to check quotes from other insurers.nA nasty person punched a hole on my car's bumper (my car was inside my backyard) when I was on vacation, so filed a claim. It paid me about $200 after deductible. I planned to get the hole fixed, but it was close to cold weather, I was waiting for the weather to warm up. Then, someone ran into me from back, then ran away, so I filed a claim. Even this incident was impacted the different side of the car, AMICA claimed the side was part of the bumper. It refused to cover the bumper since I did not repair it. My argument is that they are two separate incidents and I have two deductibles. It stated that it would have paid for a bumper if I had fixed it. I checked my policy, there is no provision which requires me to fix a damage, otherwise, it will decline coverage. I requested AMICA to provide a contract, written notice which notifies me about the condition it would impose on me. I wrote to the CEO which has had no response. Then, it asked me to have my car photoed even though the appraiser took pictures of entire car when I filed the claim. It gave me three days to get the car photoed by a third party. I did not have time to do that in three days. So, it cancelled my collision and other coverage. I was very angry. So, I contacted other insurers. Guess what, I found a better policy better price with NJM. I switched out as soon as I could. Then, I started to look into the homeowner insurance. Then, I found out again, much better coverage, lower rate. Now, I should thank AMICA which did me a favor to push me away.nnEveryone, check with other insurers, switch out of AMICA. You won't regret it.

Amica insurance company and it's reoresentatives have provided me with the best experience this far. I have dealt with several insurance companies over the years and recently my mom had to deal with Hartford, her insurance company and I saw the troubles she went through. I had damages incurred in my home due to leaky pipe, the claims adjuster Julie Lavens came to my house the day following my claim filing and she approved my claim within a few hours. Getting the funds at the time was huge relief at the time as I had spent over $10k in repairs the previous week. She made the whole process very smooth and painless. At one point I had to call the office to follow up on the deposit of my funds and Julie at the time was unavailable so Shannon Childs assisted me. Honestly their customer service is that of a 5 star hotel. They truly care about their customers. I don't think I will switch to another insurance company ever!!
