Only gave one star because it wouldn't let me post withoit it. Deserves no stars. AWFUL EXPERIENCE
Arrived there at 6AM and got out at 2PM. ....
Friday 9/4/2020. I got on line at about 7:40 am, and there were 200+ people in front of me. There was a lady handing out tickets with numbers and I got mine around 8:30 am. They reached full capacity before 9:00 am, so only about 30 people behind me were able to get a ticket. I got to the check-in counter at 10:30 am and registered my phone number. After that, you are free to leave until you get the text telling you to come back. They went on lunch at around 12:30. I got the text message to go in at 2:00 pm and was finished by 3:00 pm. Overall, lots of waiting but it was very organized and all the staff I interacted with was friendly. I suggest you go in as early as possible, bring all your documents, and just be prepared to wait.
It was better than I expected.Went there at 8:15am on a Saturday (November 2020), got a number/checked in by 9:30am, second text at 10:30am, third text 15 min after and was done with DL renewal by 12:15pm.nThe staff was nice and the ticket process was easy and organized.It will be helpful to have the number/texts process in place even post-covid.
Got there 7:10AM and got a wait number 140. It is cold outside! At 9:34AM, I finally got my phone checkin number as 150. Then loooooooooong waiting. Around 12:45, got text msg to let me in. Around 1:30, I had my DL renewal. The waiting is sooo boring. Remember to bring some books or movies or games or friends. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT PREPARING EVERY PAPERWORK CORRECTLY. They won't check your paperwork until you get the text msg and enter the DMV. If you do not prepare paperwork correctly, it means that you may leave without finishing your work even after several hours waiting. There is an online 6 points documents selector, it can help you check your supporting documents just in case some materials missing. You can print out the congrats confirmation and take it along with your materials.
