The Bronx High School of Science

This is a school with a stellar academic history. On of the specialty schools (entrance test required) in NYC, for many years some of it's students always won the Westinghouse Science Scholarship. My son went there and it was a great school. The list of famous grads is impressive.

I was motivated to become a teacher because of the incredible teachers I had at the school from 1966-1969. I'm about to retire, but my success as a teacher was greatly influenced by various science teachers...Ms. Berman, Ms. Jacobson, Mr. Kopelman, and Mr. Walsh. Overrated school. You don't need to come here to be a successful student. Just work hard in any school and make-do with the resources of your school. Don't listen to Ace-A. However, there are a lot of instances where controversies happen. If you get in, good for you. If you don't get in, do not hurt yourself. This is coming from a 95% average student.

Extremely good school. Has very good teacher but the workload is a lot if you are not prepared. Don't listen to the people who put 1 star. Obviously they couldn't get in...

Great school. It changed my life. The teachers were great, the other students challenged you to excel and the environment was stimulating.
