The hospitality I experienced with the valet attendants at Son Cubano was amazing. They were quick, friendly and most importantly very vigilant of their vehicles. Great service 100%. I had no choice but to leave a hefty tip!!

I went to Pier 701 in Piermont, NY where Valet King was running a valet service for the parking lot. I thought my experience was great until today. I noticed damage to the bumper of my vehicle and was shocked as to how it could've got there. I have only driven this car once since the day I went to Pier 701. Then I remembered the valet. I called the number and was originally greeted with understanding for my frustrations but was also informed that since I left the lot before I noticed the damage, that they were not liable even if I could prove that it was their fault. I went down to the restaurant again and took a picture of the bumper and the trailer hitch of the boat that the vehicle was parked by. It's hard to deny that the hitch is what damaged the car. I called the number again and let them know that I had tested my theory and took pictures if they were interested in seeing them. They said the pictures were irrelevant. The damage is my fault for not checking, which I would've known if I had read the fine print on the ticket they give you. The damage that was done isn't something that you just don't notice when you're behind the wheel. So unfortunately I'm left feeling that whoever backed the car into the hitch, knew they hit something and didn't say something. I guess they made the right bet, cause since I didn't inspect the vehicle before I left, they aren't liable. The lack of integrity is unfortunate. I'll give them this, they're smart for putting that liability claim on the tickets. It's the easiest way to get out of situations where they genuinely made a mistake that would cost them. Now they're off the hook and I'm the one left with a messed up bumper.

Updated: We had a great experience with the staff at 1QPS. Each of them were professional and ensured our car was out on time.nnDownsides: The elevator at 1QPS can get stuck, which means you lose access to your car. They remedy the situation fairly quickly though.nnIf you sign up with them, make sure you're on top of the card you use. The system they use auto-charges, but the team fixes it if there's a wrong charge.

Stay away from Valet King and owner John Fuda. Zero integrity, hiding behind supposed “insurance policy”. I recently dined at DeNovo in Edgewater. At the end of my dinner I went to request my car and it was incredibly busy. I waited at least 25 minutes and then the guy parked my car up the hill of the dark street bc there was no room in the driveway. Work from home so didn’t drive my car for a while. Several days later while approaching my car from behind with groceries, I noticed the rear passenger side of the bumper had a lot of dirt on it and was cracked. John Fuda, the owner of Valet King, refuses to assume responsibility bc I left the premises. I wouldn’t have left the premises if my car would’ve been returned to me in the well-lit restaurant area where I would’ve definitely seen the damage. Restaurant owners, save yourself & your customers the trouble and do not give this Mr. Fuda your business. Individual patrons, at the very very least, inspect your car meticulously before even getting in! Read on, this is definitely not the only review of its kind. Don’t worry, BBB is coming!
