Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department

We were awakened in the wee hours of the morning by one of the smoke alarms. We did not seem to be able to reset it. So we disabled it . Just as we were falling off to sleep again another one went off. Well there was obviously no fire,no smoke,so was there carbon monoxide?Now we were afraid to go to sleep . We were actually scratching our heads in terms of who to call . Pseg?Fire dept? Can it wait till morning? By this time we felt we were having symptoms ,headache , strange taste, and a little fear we were going to die if we tried to sleep. We called the fire dept.Within a short time Mr. Joe Chevalier came to our rescue. He assured us there was no carbon monoxide. He was professional , kind and reassuring . Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
