I have been afraid to reupholster some of my better furniture having had an amateurish job done by a company here in town. It may have been their first job out of upholstery school, but I felt terribly disappointed. Then I found Lira's Upholstery somewhere either on the web or some review list, and I looked at the photos (which don't even do them justice) and gave Richard and Martha a go at the wonderful chair that had been previously reupholstered. The job is a master work. I found some mohair fabric to ensure the longevity of the piece since I will be passing it on to my daughter at some point. They put new legs on it and redesigned the way mohair surrounded the arms which was a brilliant idea. The photo just shows the chair plopped in our dining room just as he had delivered it rather than in its appropriate setting. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my furniture, and since they proven themselves with such beautiful work, I am having them reupholster a very substantial sectional. They also took the cushions from my outdoor patio set and replaced the seat stuffing (which when sat in sunk down about 4 inches) with a firmer foam that is meant for outdoor use in case it gets rained on before I can cover the chairs. I had them recover the matching ottoman to the club chair in the photo, and they are using an old Bessarabian rug that had lived a full life to make seat cushions for another outdoor table. I can't speak highly enough about Lira's Fabulous Home Upholstery. October 24, 2019: After Lira's proved their quality and meticulous excellence, I felt I could trust them with my sectional. I bought 62 yards of a beautiful mohair (which is quite expensive) which is very difficult to manage as an upholsterer, and once again they came through with a magnificent result. You can trust them to make you very, very happy!

Great experience with Lira's. Had a chair in which the seat needed repair. Lira's is in ABQ, pick up and deliver to Santa Fe. Chair seat repaired to perfection, fair price and the nicest people. Highly recommend!!!

I'm in love with my furniture again!!! Richard and Martha and the rest of the crew did an amazing job recovering my couch and loveseat. They look better than new. I love that they are perfectionists who give you exactly what you want. My pieces were picked up and delivered, which was also a great benefit. I would recommend Lira's Home Upholstery to anyone who would love to keep their furniture with a new cover. They have an outstanding selection of fabrics, and Martha is a wonderful decorating partner!

Lira's does impeccable, pristine work. I had ten dining chairs reupholstered in a cream fabric and they now look more beautiful than when I'd bought them! Lira's craftsmanship is superb, the prices great.
