Came here on a vacation and took my husband and three daughters here. Had a splendid time with the family. Would recommend! The placid waters are calming and serene. Love the trails and wooded paths to venture about on. You know the kids had a great time at the gift shop ud83dude1c Such simplicity, yet has unique touches that make us feel right at home. What a hidden gem found in the depth of good ol' NYC! Love from Idahoud83dudcaa☘ufe0f❤ufe0fud83dude1d

I took my family here last weekend. It was wonderful to see all the trees with different colored leaves. We were able to get a good meal from the cafe and have our lunch under some shade.

A getaway from the city! Taking the train all the way to 242-Van Cortlandt Park on the 1 train and then walking about thirty minutes to the location. Masks are enforced on the property. The staff were kind and there is also a free gallery to walk through. I noticed on the website that they mentioned no outside food but there were people eating food they brought and others who picnicked. The greenhouses were closed but the garden was open. The lily pond is beautiful and definitely shouldn't be missed. The landscapers/gardeners/caretakers do such a beautiful job of maintaining the place.

It was a great getaway to nature. I felt as though I was Adam and my wife was eve. We ventured deep through the luscious woods and had great fun.

Wave Hill is such a treat. The gardens are so beautiful and well kept and I love the view of the Hudson and Palisades from the terrace. Don’t miss the museum either - they have excellent nature themed art shows. Biking here is really difficult though because of the hills!
