Delaware County Assistance Office

Can't get ahold of anyone here ever when calling! It's a miracle if you get through.But the people at the actual office are very nice.

I've had both good and bad experiences. You can't get thru to your case worker when you need to. But when i could she was helpful and courteous. Just follow up to make sure everything that you submitted is on file.

Unbelievably unorganized. Sent documentation numerous times and they claim to not have received. Horrible client service.

Full out from,for mawd and I full out every thing I needed . then left was told the Dr need to say ............ something different. then I had that done. Going good came backnwith what I did need. Then this is were it was wrong about it was told it took so long I needed it to do it over cause they only give so much time. was never said or I didn't hear it?? So called head office they sent a from out I did the same thing but this x I was call or a letter send to me. So I stop in again. They said I need a letter now from S.S. watch it gave. To then my very 1st time. Then went back the lady, would not let me talk to my case worker I would I too get another one .but never gave me a another case worker. Because of this I have to wait for next year to get help with insurance I was not asking for food or money just help with insurance. So they say there to help but WHAT THEY NEED IS SOMEONE THAT'S GOOD AT GIVEN HELP TO PEOPLE HELP.nI AM SORRY BUT MAYBE THEY NEED TO BE ON OTHER SIDE OF THE WINDOW!nGO THE EXACT MILE AND HELP WITH THE THINGS THEY ASK FOR.nI WORK FOR FREE GIVE MY TIME AT A FOOD BANK I GET NONE OF THE FOOD. BUT IT FEELS GOOD WHEN THE PEOPLE TELL ME SO SO MUCH FOR THE FOOD AND THINGS THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. WE ARE THERE TO HELP PEOPLE WITHOUT US. WHO WILL. I WAS ONCE IN THE SAME BOAT AS THEM. I WAS LUCKY TO FINE MY WAY OFF THAT BOAT. SO I AM GIVING BACK. PAYING IT FORWARD, WHY CAN'T WELFARE PEOPLE BE ABLE TO MAKE A DIFFERENT 'SnnYOU HAVE A PAID A CHECK COMING IN IF IT WASN'T FOR THE NOT SO LUCKY YOU WOULD NOT HAVE YOUR JOB.nSo this is why I give Chester office a 1 star.

Good luck getting a hold of your case worker. By the time you do, they'll have switched your case worker and you have to start the whole chase again. I was determined eligible for multiple benefits, but never received any. I have a family to feed while they get their act together, which they never will.
