I'm not sure why they decided to change it so that you can only get certain services at specific locations. If going to the DMV felt like hell before it is a Socialist hell now. The workers that are here today are doing the best they can. I am not speaking against them. They are doing their best.nIf you want to guarantee a spot, get here early. At least by 7am, but you'd do better getting here earlier. Make sure you have all your paperwork you need. Bring a chair with you. It helps.
I always heard bad stuff about going to Motor Vehicle but this was a very pleasant experience, I got there by 7:15 AM on Tuesday October 20th and I was out the building by 8:45 AM, pretty fast considering the situation with the virus.nPlace opens at 8 AM but when I got there they already had employees outside handing out numbers and forms to those waiting in line, once you go inside they will take you to the window where they verify that you have your 6 points ID and the form filled for whatever you are there for. Then they give you all that back and you go sit and they will call you by that same number, they had like 27 windows running on that day so the line was moving incredibly fast. Honestly there is no need to go at 5 AM like many people said, I went there at 7:15 and it was really good.
I went there on Friday November 20, 2020 at 8 AM and was out the door by 9 AM to get my first driver’s license. I didn’t need an appointment I just had wait in line to get my number, then waited about 20 minutes to get called down. The guards outside were friendly and answered questions and all the staff inside were kind and were worked efficiently and quickly. It was clean and a very organized process. An oddly good experience for a dmv!
Today I visit the Thorofare DMV on the rainiest day of the month, as I am preparing to brave standing in the rain for a shift at the motor vehicle, to my surprise the line was moving swiftly as I get to the front of the line an associate named Angel B equipped with her Sesame Street umbrella showing concern for why I needed to be help , pointed me in the right direction. As I am waiting inside thanks to Angel, to my enlightenment she was the one to help me with my issue her office all ready for the holiday season showing me that she takes pride in her space and actually an agent whom cares to help people. There are great people who are here to help they get a bad wrap because people assign their issue to the ones there to help. Thank you and I know there are more like Angel B
I was here on Friday, October 30,2020 with my daughter. We came to get her driving permit. We came around 4 pm & we’re excited to see that there wasn’t a long line or a lot of people there. They moved quickly & by 4:12 we were already getting the permit. We just had to wait to pay. Suddenly, the supervisor started telling all the employees to “shut down right now!” The state trooper there started telling everyone to get out. The lady taking care of us was confused herself. Handed us the permit after I just paid cash to hurry up, without stamping it! We didn’t realize until after we left! We couldn’t set up the road test appointment either. We figured it had to be something covid related for them to just start kicking everyone out like that!
