Tim is an awesome PT. He knows just how much to push in order to make steady progress. I wish uncoils send him a video of how I’m walking now— due to his patience and skill.

I first went to Scott Casares at North Lake Physical Therapy 3 1/2 years ago for knee replacement therapy. Everyone heals at a different rate. At that time, Scott worked with me for 4 months. The end result was great. My knee bends and I am able to do many exercises, walk, and line dance. My doctor says the knee is doing great.nnNow I am seeing him for sciatic nerve problem. He has helped me tremendously. I am still a work in progress; but Scott will get me to the finish line. He has the skills, knowledge, and patience with all his patients. Couldn't be happier with this service. Thank you Scott.

To begin with - I review positively and negatively. Delighted to be able to tell you this is a MOST positive review.nnSeptember 4, 2019, I underwent surgery for Trochanteric Bursitis Gluteus Medius Minimus repair – basically a torn tendon in my right hip. Surgery went well and my MD recommended non-weight bearing for six weeks. So, the walker came out of the basement. 10 days post op I was at North Lake Physical Therapy in Tigard with Dr. Scott Casares. Needless to say I was still experiencing pain and nervous about doing anything to cause further distress.nnScott immediately gave me confidence that I would recover. He combines physical strength with a calmness that is contagious. His medical knowledge is vast as he is well-trained. Scott exudes a warm kindness with a delightful sense of humor. We thoroughly discussed his prescribed course of action for recovery and he, his team of Ryan (who is exceedingly strong and gentle) and Brianna (who loves to take care of her patients) and I launched forward. Scott showed me how I could get out of bed with the assist of a webbed strap so that my husband did not have to lift my leg each time I had to get up. Relieved to have that!!!nnOften times, in other physical therapy practices I have felt rushed – almost as if “I were on the clock.” North Lake Physical Therapy in Tigard makes you feel as though you are the most important person in the office – even when other patients are present. You are NEVER rushed through your exercises and while under constant supervision you learn the correct way to do the physical therapy. When you forget or misunderstand directions, you are positively reinforced. Everyone at North Lake is happy, kind, and courteous. Cassidy who is the receptionist has an infectious smile you can hear in her voice on the phone and see in person.nnI was given exercises to perform at home which were most helpful between PT visits. I still do them every morning.nnAfter six weeks non-weight bearing my MD prescribed 50% weight bearing on one crutch for another six weeks. I left his office and walked across the hall to North Lake and I admit I was scared to try 50% weight bearing but Scott Casares gave me such confidence that within the first two minutes I was well on my way.nnAfter six weeks 50% weight bearing, my right hip was improving but my left shoulder/upper arm were really starting to ache. It became so painful that I could no longer dry myself with a towel across my back nor do anything which involved weight with that arm. When I went into see Scott for my regular hip PT I started to cry and told him about the horrible pain in my shoulder/upper arm. He was most comforting and told me “we’ll take care of this.” Apparently this is NOT an unusual occurrence with 50% weight bearing but I had visions of more surgery and rehabilitation. Scott has a very calming effect which helped me immensely.nnAfter weeks/actually months of PT at North Lake which ended in early March and as I continue to exercise daily at home, my hip and left upper arm/shoulder are back to working normally and I am a happy, content, and confident person again. I owe it all to Scott Casares, his team (and my exercising at home).nnI cannot recommend North Lake Physical Therapy and Scott Casares highly enough. I consider everyone there a true friend who really cares about his/her patients.nnI am forever grateful to Scott and the superior care he gave me in my rehabilitation. If you need physical therapy, do yourself a favor and call North Lake Physical Therapy in Tigard.

I first went to North Lake Physical Therapy for my left hip which was continually in pain when I would rotate or sit cross legged. I tried on my own to stretch and relieve the pain and finally threw in the towel and made a PT appointment and am glad I did! Scott was incredibly welcoming and made what is a relatively painful experience enjoyable. If you can imagine such a thing! Due to my scoliosis my left side tends to be a bit strained and tight and Scott was able to work out those issues within a few months! Hip hasn't had any issues since! Unfortunately, I was in a car accident in April and was in again in August for my left wrist and worked with Tim. I am not sure who is funnier (not a word but go with it) the two of them make you feel at ease and are incredibly witty. PT become an hour of fun socializing while I worked to re-gain the strength in my left wrist/arm. Even though the exercises were tough, I don't think my wrist would have recovered as fast as it did if it weren't for Tim pushing me! If you are teetering on going to see them, I encourage you to go! Mobility without pain is something we should all feel and that is what the two of them are there for!

I've had PT for a multitude of injuries and surgeries over the years (the latest being shoulder surgery) and I'd highly recommend Tim Schuckers and the team at North Lake PT, Sequoia Parkway. Tim knows what he is doing, understands how the body works, and which parts affect others. He and the staff will push you but it's done with a smile and good humor. I diligently followed the program Tim set up for me and the improvements were outstanding. I was back on the golf course without discomfort as soon as could have been expected. Thank Tim!
