Love all the beautiful different glass. We go several times in fall for pumpkins and winter for tree ornaments. Everyone is so helpful in helping you find your perfect piece. They are so nice.

This once-abandoned glass factory town was revived into an artisan community back in the '70. A few older buildings and old-fashioned style fill-ins give artisans workshops for ceramics, paper and glass. The glass furnace is a showcase of the site, marked by a towering chimney above the furnace where they blow glass.nOn our recent trips the artisans were not working and the workshops were closed for distancing. Although would think that they should still be able to work in their spaces while keeping distance. The paper works team was there having set up a table to demonstrate in a roped-off area. The artisan was excited to be able to talk about her craft along with her partner who varnishes the paper beads she was making from recycled paper.nThe shops sell beautiful glassworks, clothing, pottery, jewelry and such. There is also a modest folklife center and an outstanding Museum of American Glass that merits a separate review.nFrom our last visit, I remember they also had a snack bar with delicious choices. There is also a nature walk and an old schoolhouse. Museums and shops are open.

Fabulous place with so much to see and do. You can take pottery and glass blowing classes. You can also do a nature's trail walk. And if you're hungry, plenty of food trucks. They even have food trucks for vegans.
