I have been with this office for some time, between auto and renters. Working in the industry myself, I don't feel that I had an adequate level of attention unless I wanted to get a quote for a new line of business. I took my policies slowly, mostly due to price, but recently we have begun a move, and I had several people waiting on me to have evidence of renters insurance. After waiting and not receiving it for 4 days, after explicitly requesting it with a new effective date, I had to obtain an emergency policy elsewhere. I have yet to hear back if they intend to honor my request for cancellation.

I had to deal with a broken pipe and deciding if I was liable, my neighbor sharing the wall space was liable, or my HOA was liable. Everyone seemed confused on the manner, but Teresa knew exactly what to do and how to help me in a friendly, timely manner

We have had a VERY bad experience with Theresa and her poorly trained team. I was supposed to receive a call from her yesterday but never did. I was calling to explain my frustration that her poorly trained agent LIED to us the year before and when I brought it up to her staff the only response I got was “well I can’t listen to every call my employees make.”After FINALLY being able to get ahold of her to cancel our insurance (which was $100+ a month more than Geico, so go check them out) she then tried to tell my husband that he should strive to be more like her daughter who is young in her 20’s and drives a Range Rover. Sorry lady, my husband and I are financially responsible, and we don’t need to be wasting our money with an insurance agent that doesn’t care about her clients. 10/10 do not recommend.nnUpdate:nI would like to point out we CANCELLED our insurance policy with State Farm and Theresa, despite what she is implying below. Our biggest issue is with the poor training Teresa provides her agents with - we were lied to by her agents multiple times and the fact that she can’t answer a phone call to discuss.

Teresa Barnard and her staff have been outstanding to work with and we have been very pleased with our coverage. She made certain our policies had appropriately and adequately covered us for any claims. We had a significant fire claim in which Teresa Barnard, her staff, and our claims adjuster were all very collaborative and helpful through such a difficult process of loss and rebuilding. If you need an outstanding and reliable agent, call on Teresa Barnard, she’s the best!
