Cozy little used bookstore with lots of big finds! Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Fun to browse and you'll find something to buy at a good price.

When you take time away from your routine work days to enjoy some time off at the South Jersey shore, nothing could be more relaxing than sitting down with a slightly worn book from days gone by.nnIn today’s digital age, where we often squint uncomfortably to read off of an electronic screen, nothing could be nicer than turning a page of paper and indulging in a moment of literary self discovery.nnThe owner, Pete, is always helpful in assisting your search for a book topic and he obviously enjoys his job!nnThe books are organized throughout the store by topic and, if you are looking for something specific that’s not in the store, Pete will often offer to find it for you!nnI love this bookstore and I bet you will too.

Ok...you know that you will forget some light reading for the beach when you pack your bags. No problem...just come to Barrier Island Books and pick up some. They have a great variety of books, both hardcover and softcover, in all categories. Prices are reasonable so after reading them you don't feel bad leaving them in the rental for the next person to enjoy. A must stop in Stone Harbor!
