Wickline Acting Studio

Recently I took the Hosting and Spokesperson Class at Wickline Casting, taught by Rich Henkels. Being new in the entertainment business, learning to read a teleprompter was very intimidating, but Rich really helped me gain on camera confidence, and made it fun all the while. It was a great experience, one I would recommend to anyone looking to learn this essential skill!

Kathy is one of the most pleasant and knowledgeable casting directors in the area. Whether you want to learn in one of her many classes or find a cast for your own film, Kathy and her staff are guaranteed to work above and beyond for any and all needs you may have. I would highly recommend her services to any actors or to people just considering entering the entertainment industry.

Review of Teleprompter Class by Dave ThomasnnMy previous acting and voice-over training has been a significant aid in my subsequent experience. However, I lacked the very important skill of teleprompter efficiency. When I saw that Emmy award winner Dave Thomas was to hold a Teleprompter Skills Workshop at Kathy Wickline Casting, I immediately signed up for this opportunity.nnThe small class size enabled everyone to interact with Dave, who provided us with many pointers and - most importantly - sufficient practice time with teleprompter technology. My expectations for this class were far exceeded. I now feel confident that I am able to successfully use my teleprompter skills for the benefit of directors and clients.

Recording with Jim, in the Wickline Studio, was a great experience. His welcoming and professional manner put me at ease right from the start, and the way he would immediately play-back my recordings allowed me to redo several lines until I had them just the way I wanted them.  I never felt rushed or pressured by him and his team, but he offered insightful feedback and direction that helped me elevate the quality of my performance and put together a better reel.

I took Rich's hosting class to obtain acting techniques to improve my on camera presence. The honest, informative, and professional feedback I received throughout each class has helped me to become a better actress both on and off camera. Rich's hosting class is well worth the investment and I recommend this class to any aspiring or professional actor.nnMary
