Oregon City Social Security Office

My 11 am Monday morning call was answered promptly, my question received courteously, my identity verified specifically and their answer provided within 2 minutes. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you Beaverton SS Office!

WOW! extremely rude and unprofessional phone service. I called to ask for assistance for an appointment (which the phone service says they are open for appointments). I need to update my last name and apply for a social security card for my baby who was born in Jan 2020. The women raised her voice when I asked what appointments were being accepted and why my reasons don't warrant an appointment she was extremely rude and hung up on me after it took multiple times calling just to get ahold of someone and waiting on a 15 minute hold. GET IT TOGETHER SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE!!!! If the grocery stores can be open... SO CAN YOU! I don't feel comfortable sending my baby's birthday cert and my drivers license out in the mail. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS REQUEST! So disappointed and dissatisfied. What a joke how they run their business.

#BoycottSSoffices! They’re absolutely no help. They have kept their offices shut for the last nine months and have no plans to open them until 2021 or maybe even 2022. Just do nothing and we pay their salaries.

I Had to get a social security card and I followed The directions online of what I needed in order to obtain it. I brought everything that they told me to online but unfortunately they would not let me proceed to get the social security card with what I brought. I had to go to my main hospital and get A note on their letterhead paper saying that I was a patient there along with my patient number. I needed my doctors stamped signature as well as their actual signature as well. Luckily for me my hospital was not too far From the social security office. So I was able to run by there and pick up my stuff quickly. After I picked up what I needed from the hospital I was able to come back to the social security office and they saw me Almost right away. All I had to do was say that I was working with Shannon and she told me to come back And I could skip the line. Shannon was wonderful she was Was a delight to work with.nnWhen I 1st initially waited in line at the social security office to get a social security card it only took me 30 minutes To get seen. My advice for you is to bring 3 pieces identification that they ask for online. Because their online information is not as updated as it needs to be. If I had brought 3 pieces of identification on me I would only had to wait 40 minutes total and I would've been in-and-out of the social security office.nnThe security guard at the front desk was very helpful hes a wonderful guy. I would have given this place a 5 star review if it was not for the fact that their online information Was misleading and actually needed more Then what they said to do online. A charge me nothing in order to get my new social security card.
