McPherson Square Branch

After arriving from the Covid experience and being an employee here, I found the branch being what it is a mess (that is after the Robbery!) It took me a few hours to clean my desk which was trashed. Smh! It looks good now. Can't wait to be back to normal and spend time with my usual patrons that always come in to use the library.

I came here to print out paper, it was very easy to find parking and the building is beautiful! The walkway and front grass area is also very pretty and well kept. The inside is okay and very dated. The woman up front was extremely unfriendly!!! The staff in the back by the printers was very kind and helpful. It is .25 a paper and they only accept cash and do not accept anything larger than a 5 dollar bill.

Very nice Library, always something going on for the children, I wish Frankford Library had something going on for the children more than Once every two months, but at this Library the Lady with glasses at front desk, extremely rude, needs to work on her people skills,and makes u feel very unwelcome and makes quietly rude comments with coworkers about others people there. Needs to learn how to greet new faces and how to answer people questions with out her attitude, is very, very loud to be a Library, even though the children do the activities downstairs the computer is very loud upstairs, staff children do what they want in the computer section n are very loud, almost impossible to work, unsafe in the outside area, because of the neddles and zombies around, my girls enjoy their children programs they have everyday, is an Amazing program for children.

Have an amazing program for children, the staff that runs the children clubs are very friendly, let's me know my children are safe, but the staff especially the lady at front desk who is the 1st one you see coming in, is extremely rude, children in the computer side are very loud, impossible to work in the PC with all that noise, too much cursing going on with the children at the computer section, not the children downstairs, but the ones who don't attend the children program stay on the PC, and are extremely loud, most of the staff in cells phone very loud, security is most of the time in cell phone texting, not realizing that ppl are using their cell phone in the Library and are having very loud conversation, it seems like the staff is bother if you ask for assistance, they no help at all, only very helpful ones are the staff from the children clubs they have. but the outside area is another story, but I really love the children clubs they have.

Asking people for IDs to use the bathroom as a means of universal humane needs , appears to be on the tangent of discriminatory practice. I have an ID and I witness people who cannot access said facilities because they arent procuring documentation. We have to understand the level of self induced community Black , Brown , and poor counter policing done on the behalf of the institutions that are supposed to give educational , cultural , and collateral positive leverage.
