I honestly don't know where to start, my husband went to The OrigInal Pratico Jewelers and dealt with Franny Pratico to purchase a pair of earrings for me for Christmas and during the negotiations he tried to negotiate a lower price at which time she hit him because he insulted her - he purchased the earrings at full asking price anyway (against his gut instinct)nI took the earrings to two separate appraisers who valued them one at half the price my husband paid and the other at under half of that he paid. Needless to say my husband returned the earrings for a full refund but not before Franny argued with him and hassled him (even though the earrings were returned within the mandatory 7 day return period)nI wouldn't keep them because my homeowners insurance company wouldn't insure them for what we paid they'd only insure them for their TRUE value and I didn't want to be ripped off.nnANY jeweler worth their salt will guarantee that the jewelry they sell you will appraise for the amount paid.nnI would give this business NO STARS if I could- BUYER BEWARE THIS BUSINESS LACKS INTEGRITY!

Franny is completely unprofessional and rude. Her items are WAY overpriced and she refuses any returns, even if it within a few days. Not only will she refuse your return, but she will yell at you about it. HORRIBLE customer service. Also, I got my wedding ring appraised right after purchasing it from here, before ever even wearing it, and the appraiser told me there was no evidence of it being custom made (Franny had told me it was custom made), it didn't actually match my engagement ring (even though for some reason she had to take my engagement ring for two+ weeks to have it made to match), AND ONE OF THE DIAMONDS WAS CHIPPED! When I spoke to her about all this, she told me I was being so picky. UM, HELLO! For a purchase over $2,000 I think I'm allowed to be picky. All I can say is, just don't buy anything here. Don't even step foot in the door. You're better off buying from a big name jeweler that has clear and honest policies.

0 stars! Franny is a liar and a thief. My husband-to-be and I went to her store in late June looking for a wedding band for him. He didn't like anything she had in her case so he ordered from her catalog. Two weeks later the ring came in and it was beautiful. Unfortunately it had to be sized down so it would take another two weeks. After not hearing from Franny I called the store as our ceremony was early August. She had excuse after excuse and finally said she'd have it before our ceremony. The ring came in and it wasn't the right one! It looked like one in her case she showed us previously that he didn't like. We asked her to reorder the correct one and had to use the one she produced for us for the ceremony. After several times being in her store and calling, she has yet to order the correct wedding band. We learned she over charged us $200 for the same band we saw for sale somewhere else. I can't say it enough but she is a crook and a nasty woman. Make sure you get a receipt and pay in a form of check or credit card. She likes to avoid paying taxes. I wish to God we went somewhere else. We will never step foot in her shop again.

Fanny is Awesome. Not only does she have over 60 years of experience in the jewelry business, she is unbelievably kind, down to earth and she won't sell you something that is not you.nHighly recommend it.
