Trail Distilling

I don't always take the same route when passing through Oregon City, but Trail Distilling is likely to increase the chances of taking Rt 213 the next time... Starting with a view of the late afternoon light hitting Mt Hood in the view from the parking lot, and moving on to a relaxing tasting room, this was a delightful spot to visit. Everything we tried was smooth and highly drinkable - my wife doesn't normally lean towards whisky as a drink of choice, but found their First City Whisky to be a revelation. I'm not usually a fan of gin, but the Trillium Gin (one of 3 varieties made here) was worth picking up a bottle to take home with us. They've done a lovely job taking a light industrial building and giving it rustic touches to make it a fun place to visit, and to acquaint yourself with their spirits.

Really cool little distillery, possibly the best gin you will every try (Trillium Gin)! The folks who run it are very friendly, it's a small family-run operation and they made us feel very welcome when we stopped by for a tasting and tour. Right now they've got two products, a gin and a vodka; both are excellent (and it sounds like they'll be expanding to other products soon). Worth a visit for sure!

Wonderful hosts, best vodka I've ever tasted. Smooth and floral gin, can't wait for the whiskey bottling party. This place is for people who truly appreciate fine spirits.
