What a very nice place to visit. You learn a lot about the history here. If you are looking to gain some knowledge about Hannibal this is your stop.

Bravo to the courageous couple who established a living archive to the history of African Americans in Hannibal. Jim's Journey preserves and presents a wealth of documents, photos, possessions, that testify to the persistence and resiliency of the local African American community during the era of segregation and Jim Crow.
forest of too much food the black plague of YouTube (07/25/2019)
It's 1% Jim's Journey history with 99% black history of Hannibal, MO since it was established with 2 black slaves alway up to current history. It's horrible to hear that city of hannibal started demolishing black historical buildings to make way for an increase in tourism to town.nnHowever, we came during the first week of June when the flood waters was 28' high, but Hannibal, MO was not advertising that is still open thanks to the floodgates holding.nnAlso, this is only open during the weekend, and not all the time. It's also not air conditioned.
