Great little fishing spot, kids like it. I just wish it got more love from the local government or environment group, so it could get cleaned up & fixed up

A wonderful place it is, but if people keep trashing it and trespassing it will be gone for future generations.

I drove out to this great swimming place in Festus yesterday only to discover that police were making everyone leave....the property owners on each side of the river posted no trespassing signs too. I spoke to the police and they said that people leaving their trash and a few used needles behind brought major concerns to the community. (The last time I went there....I walked along the both sides of the road and picked up a full trash bag of trash)
