Big River Nursing and Rehab

Our family member was treated poorly. I do not recommend putting someone you love in this place. The lack of care and compassion was infuriating. It was a horrible experience.

My father is a resident at big river he loves being here. He has me and my son who work there and soon to be daughter n law plus many others that he knows. He has met many new friends. We feel that big river is a very nice place live and work we are one big happy family

I have been in social work for 5 years and recently accepted a position at Big River Nursing and Rehab. I have lived in the community for 20 years and through the years have heard great things and bad things about Big River. Since accepting the social worker position I have noticed many things.n1. The facility is recently under new management and a lot of wonderful changes are taking place. The new administrator is a very caring lady who has made it her priority to improve the lives of the the men and women who live and work at Big River. She is quick to jump in when an extra set of hands is needed to ensure that the residents are receiving the absolute best care.n2. Every staff member whether they be nursing, dietary, reception or housekeeping/laundry, genuinely care about the people they serve. They are kind, attentive and compassionate at all times.n3. Although it is an older building, there has been a lot of remodeling going on and many new improvements are coming.n4. The rooms are very clean and well maintained.n5. With Covid 19 being a concern (we are currently Covid 19 free), staff are required to remain at the facility during their shifts. This means that about 95% of the time I am eating exactly the same things as our residents. There is always multiple things to choose from and I have enjoyed many great meals.nnI have never said this about any other facility but I would be comfortable having my own mother at Big River Nursing and Rehab. I feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful team of caring people and look forward to many years with this facility.

Big River Nursing and Rehab is a clean facility with good food. The nurses are all very caring and nice. Renee and Tonia have helped me a lot and are very understanding. I would highly recommend the home to all of my family and friends.

As a nurse of over 26 years. I have been around my share of nursing facilities. I have been in my share of places that make me shudder.Here the upper management care about the staff and the residents. I have never work at a place were the administrator cared so much that she walks around to meet staff and residents. This is also the best staffing that I have been around.we are family here and I no longer look for reason not to come to work.
