Just run. Awful experience. Kristen & the staff could care less about anybody there. Make you do “community service” because you didn’t have your required meeting because your RA no call no showed the meeting. They also did not care about the fact that there was a huge hole in the ceiling in the kitchen from water damage. Add to the fact that a month after that when they finally got us a new room, they tried to give us only 2 days to pack all of our stuff and clean the apartment and move without notice. Do not recommend.
Beautiful campus
As a freshman, I was grateful to be able to live on campus. However, the housing staff made living here difficult. They force students away from our studies with mandatory meeting and get-togethers. These events become increasingly frustrating as the information becomes redundant to returning students. The staff tells us that we are adults, but treat us like children. They tell us that living in a safe learning environment is important to them, but if problems arise they are slow to do anything or are unresponsive. I have witnessed the negligence of the staff as they failed to work with my roommates and myself on multiple occasions. Since those incidences, I can no longer trust the staff. As it stands now, the staff at Viking Woods are holding the facility back.
