Joplin Memorial Hall

Cozy small arena in a small theater. Built in 1924. I believe. Parking is essentially anywhere you can find a spot on the surrounding lots or business spaces. Seating can fill up quick. Not a bad seat in the house however, except those that are blocked by columns. Small restrooms. Enjoyed our time at the small town country venue.

5 stars only for its historic value. Used to attend much more as a child when the circuses were inside and the carnival was outside. Stands as an ancient relic today. Reminds us of simpler times. Times when minorities and women knew their place.

I love that it is a piece of history from shortly after WWI/The Great War. It pays tribute to the men from this area who died during the war. It needs some renovations and that's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

A delightful place to go watch a concert or any type of performance. I really enjoyed watching the newsboys there. The seating was very good and I really enjoyed it.

Sponsored annually by the City of Joplin, a wonderful meal was served to City employees and their families on Friday. Turkey, stuffing, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, dessert, & beverage - a meal fit for a king!
