Great business run by great people! Taylor was very nice, helpful and so easy to work with throughout the entire process. Talon was the installer and did a fantastic job as well. I did Lutron motorized shades on every window and they’re absolutely worth the money. If you like smart home products then these are exactly what you need!
I have used Budget Blinds twice: once in 2006 and once in 2020. I have had great experiences both times. In 2006, I did quite a bit of comparison shopping, 4 other vendors and Budget Blinds beat them all. I purchased honeycomb cordless blinds for my Lee's Summit house. They were beautiful, huge impact on the look of the house. I sold that house in 2019 and the blinds were still in near perfect condition. No malfunction in the open and close function, no fading or yellowing in the sun, after 13 or 14 years. In 2020 I checked only one competitor, Budget won easily so I went with them I had 14 blinds installed. Same type as before.I am eventually going to get about 14 more installed. Taylor my sales lady was very knowledgeable and offered good suggestions. Wayne the installer did a great job (very fast very precise). Wayne even helped fix a blind that came with the house. I do plan to buy more blinds with them, doubt I 'I'll bother to comparison shop for my new blinds.
The good: The blinds are lovely.nThe bad: The process took five months and customer service was terrible. When the blinds originally arrived, all of the top pieces were too small because they had been measured inaccurately. They had to be reordered and remanufactured. I never heard a word from the company about the error. When the replacement pieces arrived, one was still wrong. I spoke to someone in management who chose to make excuses rather than own the mistakes. I was told it would be two additional weeks and I made an appointment to have the last piece installed. Nobody showed up. 24 hours later when I called to find out why I had been stood up, I was met with more excuses and not so much as an apology. It took another week to get someone out to complete the job. I understand mistakes. What I find difficult to understand is a complete disinterest in owning the errors or in my frustration as a customer. There was zero acknowledgement of either. When a good company makes a mistake, they own it, apologize, and make it right - quickly, and without excuse. That was not my experience with this company. The blinds look good, and I’m glad they are finally right, but the lack of customer service is a deal-breaker for any future business or recommendation to others.
Super friendly knowledgeable staff! Taylor came to our house and spent probably 3+ hours going over options and giving recommendations. The Installers were great too! It took a while for the blinds to come in, and one had to be reordered because the wrong size; another due to broken lever on a shudder. Budget Blinds took care of all of our concerns without a question! I love how the window covering turned out and highly recommend visiting them for your window coverings needs!
They were right on target with their delivery date estimation—even through the pandemic! They arrived on time, were respectful, and used appropriate PPE to keep me and my family safe. I spoke to a couple other companies who were unable to accommodate for the size of our windows, but Budget Blinds pulled through for us! Our home now looks complete. Would highly recommend!
