We should all to do the best we can for those we are supposed to serve. I would like to tell you my recent experience at the Claycomo Municipal Court. On October 16, 2018 I plead guilty to a DUI charge. I could not pay the full amount so I agreed to pay the remainder on October 24, 2018 when I receive my social security check. I showed up at 1:15pm and was told that I would have to wait 10 minutes as the person who could help was out to lunch. I returned at 1:30pm and was told it would be another 15 minutes as she had taken a late lunch but they are there till 5:00pm. Since I do not have a drivers license , I am dependent on others for transportation. I do take responsibility for my bad decision to drive after drinking but this is more than an inconvenience for me to keep coming back to pay the rest of my fine. I know my responsibility is to pay the fine but it should be their responsibility to accept my payment during business hours. I hope you will try to rectify this situation.nStanley Larson
It seem obvious to me that this little village makes a lot of money handing out tickets! which seems to me should be illegal go there any tuesday they hold court there is a line out of the building and almost down the street.
If you are going to court be prepared to be there close to 8 o’clock
Operators are very rude. Interrupt you talk over you don’t let you get your point across
voicemail full! Worst city in clay county.
