The walking track is open. Which is nice to get out of the weather

The Coliseum continues to impress. Whether you are attending for a concert, a business affair, or something that caters to Hobbies or Social interaction, it is well designed to accommodate all of the above, with adequate parking immediately attached or across the street at a walking distance that even from its farthest point is just not that extreme. They also have walking/jogging tracks on multiple levels that allow those who prefer actual forward movement to the squirrel cage of a treadmill... And they have those too! Workout amenities are also on site, and are adequate and reasonably and comparably priced to others that exist locally. The staff I have come in contact with has been friends and helpful... I have only one complaint. They have a pool. It is INDOORS, is a quality situation, and the lifeguards are attentive to their responsibilities... HOWEVER... The water is over-chlorinated industrial soup that I have found to be caustically so. I DON'T EVER CONSIDER SWIMMING THERE BECAUSE OF THAT. I understand the need to keep the general public safe from itself, but my eyes burn for three days if I make the mistake of opening them underwater... That's ridiculous. WEAR GOGGLES IF YOU ARE A DEDICATED SWIMMER OF LAPS. Over all, this place really gets it right in lots of areas. Don't be afraid to check out whatever draws you here. This venue will enhance it.

Poplar Bluff could really do something with this place but they don't. It sits empty with no events or anything else going on. I don't know who's in charge but they shouldn't be.
