Hy-Vee

As always it's Hy-vee..

Today I decided to do a curbside pickup order. I arrived on time at 4:00 p.m. I use the text service to notify them of my arrival. after waiting what I felt was a reasonable amount of time, 15-20 minutes or so, I contacted their customer service inside the store to check up on my order. I was notified that they were finishing up gathering my stuff and that they would have it out to me shortly. I ordered some beef bones, oregano, rosemary, a beef roast, some corn flour, and maybe one other item that is slipping my mind at the moment. All items were said to be in stock online. after waiting another 15 minutes or so I decided to check my order online and noticed that pretty much everything was suddenly out of stock and that they were adjusting my order. Since they were not able to actually fill my order I tried contacting their customer service again. I spoke with one gentleman first who put me on transfer to go to their aisles online department and when I was transferred there the lady that I spoke with after I informed her I would like to cancel my order she immediately hung up on me. Since I was already at the store I figured I better go inside and make sure the order was canceled. I went up to their customer service informed the lady that I had spoken with over the phone as she happened to be at the customer service desk that she had hung up on me. The floor manager Daniel came up at this time and assured me that he would cancel it he vaguely apologized for his employees poor customer service and tried to assure me that she was the nicest person in the world . I understand she probably did not mean to hang up on me it happens still this overall experience was absolutely atrocious. I would not recommend using their curbside pickup for any groceries save yourself the time go inside you can take an extra 20 minutes if just wandering around it will still be faster then them trying to come out with seven or eight items for you.

Pharmacy is incredibly slow and can be rude for no reason.

I had 4 exceptional staff members this morning who were amazingly helpful and professional. A young woman in deli department, a young man in the meat department a young man stocking eggs in the dairy department and a lovely young woman checker. They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I deeply appreciated each one and their kindness. The 4 stars are for them. Job well done, thank you!nMy concern occurred while checking out. It was busy and my cashier was trying very hard to move things as efficiently as possible and getting groceries bag. I looked out and saw 3 HyVee staff standing around observing and talking at the checkout area. They apparently could not assist the individuals working the registers. I asked my checker to hand me bags and started helping her. Even me sacking didn't motivate the supervisors/managers? to help! No star for them. One of the individuals did finally call for someone to sack. While I was leaving a couple of people came to help sack for cashiers.nMaybe more assistance for cashiers and fewer staff supervising would be beneficial.

Hyvee was clean, quick, and well organized. People respected one another's space, even during the times of the pandemic. Isles were well stocked and very convenient when finding my items. The prices on certain brands are marked up though to seem like their brand is the cheapest option. Even though if you go to other retail stores they will have that generic brand for the original price.
