We had a most unfortunate accident on the highway in Thomas county and the deputy that helped us was amazing! It was super windy and cold and the whole time he was friendly and helpful in filing the accident report and calling a tow truck! Thank you deputy Caleb Carter!!!

from Jan 2012 - May 30, 2012, my son was in Thomas County Jail under Sheriff Rod Taylor. He was kept mostly in solitary confinement during that time, I begged Sheriff Rod Taylor to have a mental evaluation done on my son, because when I talked with him on the phone, I was in Oregon, it was obvious that my son, Jeff Benedetti was mentally very delusional. Sheriff Rod Taylor told me my son didn't need a mental evaluation ;( It was hell. Finally May 30. 2012 Jeff was transferred to Boulder County Jail in Colorado and within a week he was sent to the mental hospital for 2 months, Rod Taylor, 18 weeks in solitary just ruined Jeff and now he is in prison. that should never happen to anyone and I want to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else.
