Thompson Orthodontics: R. Wayne Thompson DDS

Because of Dr. R Wayne Thompson, I now have sleep apnea. I got my braces off about ten years ago and about 2 years ago, I noticed my teeth quickly shifting. I went back to Dr. Thompson 4 times in the last two years, every time his response was that I am overreacting and all I need to do is just keep wearing my retainer. I told him that my jaw was being pushed back because of my teeth shifting and he said that is something I will just have to live with. Now I cannot close my jaw comfortably at all and I cannot force my jaw closed when I am asleep. Since my jaw is now so out of place and I sleep with my mouth open, my tongue is forced back and blocks my airway at night. Both a doctor and a dentist have confirmed this and said that I was mislead by Dr. Thompson. Most likely I will have to pay someone else to get braces again, at 24 years old, in order to fix the problem that he ignored for years.
