SERC Physical Therapy

This is great place to get better. The staff is very friendly, patient, and they care about your health. They keep the facility clean and sanitized at all times. My injuries have improved because of the attention and care I've received at Serc. Thanks John and Jessica ud83dude07❤

Dr. Babb has been wonderful to work with. I have a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome that effects my connective tissue making it too lax and stretchy. Connective tissue is throughout the body and the level of severity and number of different systems in the body depends on the specific genes of the individuals with EDS. It is most commonly associated with hypermobility which sublux and dislocate joints very easily. It is not widely known which makes it hard to find medical doctors, physical therapists and other medical providers who are willing and able to work with the complexity of EDS. Providers who don’t understand EDS and aren’t willing or able to figure out the complexities and work with the patient (me: ) as a team, can be more harmful than helpful.nI was with a different group of physical therapist providers. My physical therapist moved out of Topeka. The PT who took over for her, subluxed/dislocated my shoulder twice. I started looking for a new PT and found Dr. Babb. Speaking with him I felt comfortable that he was willing to work with me and the complexities of EDS. It took about two months, but with his help my shoulder stabilized undoing the damage from the previous PT.nI’ve been working with Dr. Babb since March and I highly recommend him as a physical therapist. EDS is a progressive condition and without continued physical therapy, my level of pain increases and my ability to function decreases exponentially. In the past I’ve had to use a wheelchair. For continuous physical therapy Medicare requires a bit of extra documentation. John has been wonderful in being willing and able to do this.nDr. Babb has been able to help decrease my pain and increase my ability to function. I will always have problems and pain related to EDS as there is no “cure.” Having John as a physical therapist has not only helped me physically, but has decreased my anxiety in general. It is extremely stressful when there are ways to help decrease pain and increase function, yet not have a medical provider who is able and willing to help.nDr. Babb is a great choice for a physical therapist. I highly recommend him whenever PT comes up in conversation.

The therapy and service here is too notch. John Babbs really knows what he is doing and I'm really satisfied with the progress and strength I have gotten back since going here. Thank you Serc.

John is an excellent listener and thoughtful therapist. His ability to pinpoint my back pain and provide fast relief was terrific! I love how I had the same therapist every visit unlike other PT clinics - this allowed me to get better faster without repeating my story. Plus his singing along with the radio makes it a really relaxed environment!

They are wonderful, I can do more than ever before. My experience has been great. The therapist are really good. I would recommend anyone who has issues with there body to please let them work with you and on you, you will not be the same.ud83dude04
