We were here over Labor Day Weekend for our 1st anniversary. We had a very clean corner king on the 13th floor with a great view of the city. They have black out curtains so it's easy to sleep in (great pillows) then sneak over to the sitting area to see the city wake up. There's an Alexa in the room to request stations while you get ready for dinner or sip mimosas in the bath ;D. The restaurant had hired a guitar player and at request he played our wedding song - super cool guy. My Husband ordered the best steak he's had, melted like butter. Wait staff was attentive but the food and drinks made the night. Every drink and dish that was brought out was great not to mention all the dessert I tried. Dockum is interesting, with its locked door and low lights. Another place to order delicious drinks and people watch. We had excellent service from check in to room service - everyone was pleasant and professional. This was a splurge for us but it was worth it during this crazy time.

We had an amazing stay at the beautiful Ambassador Hotel Wichita!! Great location in central Wichita, we walked to the Keeper of the Plains monument and then rode electric Bird scooters along the riverfront and all the way back - a great way to spend an afternoon. Had a delicious charcuterie board and cocktails at the hotel’s Siena restaurant bar before dinner. Came back to the hotel after dinner for more drinks at the speakeasy in the basement, great service, atmosphere and drinks. Loved the noon checkout, really allows you to recover from a late night and enjoy sleeping in. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional. Beds were so comfortable, double queen bedroom was huge with a very nice bathroom. Highly recommended, a great value for what you get!

I’ve stayed at the Ambassador prior to COVID and now since COVID I was unaware that valet parking was no longer an option but I still had to pay to park my own car in the parking garage that left me walking even further than a typical parking lot outside of a hotel. They’ve also stopped doing room service for breakfast so I payed for a mediocre muffin and coffee that I had to walk down and order. The amenities of the ambassador are now pretty much the same as any other hotel but the price is still just as high. Honestly I’ll find somewhere else to stay with closer free parking and breakfast near by.

This place is pretty cool. The biggest weakness is the immediate neighborhood. It is in a very rundown area & there are a lot of abandoned & board up properties near by. The hotel itself is very old world, classy, with unique restaurants, features & rooms. I would stay there again but I would love to see how good the staff are when there is no pandemic, services & people are up to full speed. The biggest negative was limited ice? Really... Ice! They had shutdown the ice makers, & you could tell the maintenance of the building, rooms, was not what it should have been.
