So apparently another club isn’t respecting the noise ordinance. We dealt with club rodeo doing this and they didn’t care. I could cite the law but apparently someone else already has, I could also cite studies that have shown the negative effects of bass on residential areas. I consulted the mayor last time. There are plenty options clubs have to sound proof, from bass traps, or exterior destructive interference, to not having it that high to begin with. Take a C weight decibel meter and go through the nearby residential areas when your bass is at the levels you have it at now. You’ll see just how far the low pressure waves travel and disrupt residences.

Your club is violating the Wichita noise ordinance. There is zero reason for the bass from your club to travel a mile from the club and affect the residential area. Under Sec. 7.41.010. it is illegal if it is registered outside of 25 feet from the property line. Compliance is all that is asked. Install bass traps and/or reduce the bass so that it doesn’t travel outside the legal range.
