My father had a short stay here approximately 2 months ago. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the variety of therapies offered. My father really connected with the music therapy. it took a little while to get the correct medication combo for my dad but when they did we quickly saw a change. Unlike the other review - we had a great experience, hope we will not have to hospitalize my dad again, but if we do, we will definitely use St. Anthony's.

It only took us a few days to realize this was not a great place for my loving grandma who taught Kindergarten for over 30 years. She is struggling with dementia and we were hoping this would be a great rehabilitation place for her. We received little information when visiting for the first time. We didn’t feel welcome at all. We soon realized the facility is understaffed and SOME workers were not very nice to the patients during the visiting hours we were there. My grandma, who is a diabetic, was being fed warmed up hotdogs and tater-tots for dinner one evening we were there. This is not a “healthy” meal for an elderly person, especially a diabetic. She threw up what they made her eat. We asked if they could get her some soup, and they heated up so hot it burnt her mouth. We went and picked her up the next day. No way were we going to let her stay there any longer. My grandmother’s in the early stage of dementia. She still remembers quite a bit. She had been in the hospital the previous 2 weeks and this facility was supposed to be a transitional place until we got her house safe and ready for her to come home. She’s spoken a lot about the way other patients were not being treated kindly. This was very sad and disheartening to hear. I understand it takes a lot of patience to work with people who have dementia or Alzheimer’s, so if you don’t have that, find another occupation. My grandma and those other patients deserve better care.

Terrible, terrible place. They gave my dad so many drugs that they gave him kidney failure. Stay far away!
